Estate Planning Consultant

John has over 15 years experience within wealth management, this has highlighted the importance of robust estate planning to him.

Following recent first hand family experience John is keen to help others avoid the pitfalls associated with a lack of professional estate planning.

We know what it’s like to be in your shoes.

You’ve worked hard your whole life, and now you’re on the verge of retirement.

You want to make sure that your family is taken care of—that they’ll have everything they need when you’re gone. But with so much to think about, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why we built Asset Wealth Protection, a company whose sole aim is to ensure that the people you cherish the most will always be taken care of no matter what happens.

We know you don’t want a cookie-cutter approach that doesn’t take your unique circumstances into account—and we don’t either! That’s why we offer a bespoke service designed specifically for each client’s situation and goals. We listen carefully and work with you every step of the way so that everyone in your family knows exactly what’s going on with their finances, who is handling them, and how best to protect them against risks like inheritance taxes or care costs. And because we’re here for the long haul, we’ll help you find solutions that are sustainable for decades into the future.

The legacy

Gerry Kane started his first Financial Planning business in 1978 and saw his clients’ wealth grow significantly since then. However, as time passed and his clients
started to age, he noticed that their wealth started to disappear due to care costs, inheritance tax, and unintentional losses within the next generation.

In a bid to curb the spate of these losses, he started Asset Wealth Protection, an organisation whose only mission was to preserve the idea and substance of generational wealth. And we’ve been saving families across England ever since.

Although Gerry has retired from the business, his vision remains intact through each of us at Asset Wealth Protection, especially his son, John Kane. As an experienced financial planner with an extensive background in wealth management, John is an expert at helping his clients make informed decisions about their financial futures. Following the recent family experience, John is keen to help others avoid some of the pitfalls associated with a lack of professional estate planning.
