Having made a will, you have made a step in the right direction, however, your circumstances, your wishes and the Law can change and affect your planning.
As an example, the Residence Nil Rate Band was introduced on 6th April 2017, this change could significantly increase the value of assets you can pass to your beneficiaries, however if your will is not structured to benefit from this then your beneficiaries may be losing out.
Ideally, we recommend you review your will annually to ensure it still reflects your wishes. In addition, we recommend you review you will when you have a change in circumstances such as marriage, receipt of inheritance or having children.
